NEPTUN WERFT welcomes new trainees

Rostock-Warnemünde 04th September 2008 – On Monday, 24 young people began their apprenticeship at NEPTUN WERFT.

The new training group consists of ten engineering mechanics, six plant mechanics, four industrial mechanics and four mechatronics. With these 24 new trainees, NEPTUN WERFT now has 80 trainees in total. The training rate lies at 20% and is well above the average. In addition, 25 further trainees will be trained in cooperation with the job center.

To meet the expected shortage of skilled workers with a grounded education, NEPTUN WERFT enables young people to start their career and complete their apprenticeship at the shipyard. The high number of students also shows the interest of young people in shipbuilding and the shipyard in Warnemünde.
